Great Lakes Loons opening day roster highlighted by Brendon Davis, Omar Estevez

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers' Class-A affiliate, the Great Lakes Loons, announced its 2016 opening day roster on Sunday, highlighted by a pair of recent additions up the middle.

Cuban second baseman Omar Estevez, signed to a $6 million bonus this offseason, the third-largest bonus awarded by the Dodgers in this international signing period, will join 2015 fifth-round pick Brendon Davis at shortstop to form the Loons' double-play duo. Both are just 18 years old, with Davis seven months older than Estevez.

Other notables on the Great Lakes roster include outfielder Jordan Paroubeck, 21, who was acquired from the Braves on July 2 for international draft slots; and 2015 pitcher draftees Andrew Sopko (seventh round), Michael Boyle (13th) and Nolan Long (16th).
