PHOENIX – The Dodgers already added an impact bat before the trade deadline – who knew?
When the Dodgers sent former first-round pick Zach Lee to the Seattle Mariners late last month, they acquired reserve infielder Chris Taylor in the swap of minor-leaguers. For one night, Taylor was an impact bat. He drove in six runs with three hits, including his first big-league home run as the Dodgers returned from the All-Star break swinging, banging out a season-high 18 hits in a 13-7 rout of the Arizona Diamondbacks Fridaynight at Chase Field.
“It was a really fun night and a night I’ll never forget,” Taylor said.
