It was a winless day for the Dodger affiliates until the Quakes won to extend their winning streak to four games. It was also their first win at LoanMart Field after being on the wrong end of a three-game sweep last weekend.
Jeter Downs had just one hit in his previous 13 at-bats when he hit a grand slam in the second inning. It was Downs first home run of the season and it gave the Quakes the lead.
Downs would also have a sacrifice fly to account for his fifth RBI.
The Dodgers gave up four runs in the first two innings as they lost to the Storm Chasers (Royals) 5-3 on Thursday.
