Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Gavin Lux has been named the National League Player of the Week after hitting home runs in back-to-back games during the Dodgers’ sweep over the Boston Red Sox. Lux was crowned alongside Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr., who was named the American league Player of the Week.
In three games of action, Lux notched five hits, three runs, two home runs, three RBIs, and stole one base for the Dodgers, marking his best two-game stretch of the season.
Lux wins the award coming off a week shortened by the MLB All-Star break, meaning no team played from Monday through Thursday.
