LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers optioned right-handed pitcher Carlos Frias back to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday. A corresponding callup will be made before Friday night's game against the Rockies at Dodger Stadium.
Frias, ranked by MLB.com as the Dodgers' No. 17 prospect, spent only one day with the club. He was recalled on Wednesday to provide a fresh bullpen arm after David Huff's four-inning start on Tuesday night.
Frias was warming up in the ninth inning of Wednesday night's 5-2 win over Seattle, but he did not make an appearance.
