Dodgers superstar first baseman Freddie Freeman gave Dodger fans quite the scare when he left Tuesday’s World Baseball Classic game with an apparent hamstring injury. Fortunately, manager Dave Roberts spoke to the media on Wednesday, and said it’s just a mild hamstring issue, and Freeman should be good to go by Opening Day, and likely much sooner.
On Wednesday, Freeman also spoke to the media, and confirmed Roberts’ statement about him being ready much sooner than Opening Day. Freeman said he’s already feeling better today, and is planning on hitting in the cage soon and maybe getting into a Cactus League game this weekend (per Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register).
