Freddie Freeman is officially in the lineup for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the National League Division Series against the San Diego Padres.
Freeman, who suffered an ankle injury in last Thursday’s game against the Padres, will not miss the first game of a best-of-five postseason series against San Diego on Saturday.
Freeman said earlier this week that his injury would have normally required a 4-6 week stint on the injured list. 10 days after sustaining the injury, he will be able to go for the massive Game 1.
