This Freddie Freeman guy is pretty good.
On Friday, Freeman did something he’s never done before in his long career. In the first inning against the Giants, Freeman pulled a ball to right field that got by the second baseman, giving him 200 hits on the year. His previous career-high was 199, which he set last year, his first with the Dodgers.
Here’s a look at the play.
Not only did Freeman make his own personal history, but he made MLB history, too.
With that hit, Freeman became the only first baseman in MLB history to collect at least 200 hits, 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases in the same season.
