Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman was a surprise omission from the lineup in Monday’s series opener against the Atlanta Braves.
Manager Dave Roberts revealed that Freeman suffered a “mishap” while entering the shower, tweaking and re-injuring his surgically-repaired ankle.
“He had a little mishap in the shower, entering the shower, the bathtub,” Roberts said ahead of Monday’s game. “It swelled up a little bit. Not able to play tonight.
