Former Dodgers Shortstop Corey Seager Makes MLB History

Former Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager made history on Thursday as he became the first left-handed hitting shortstop to hit 200 home runs. The statistic only includes players who played at least 50 percent of their games at shortstop.

Seager has hit 96 home runs over the last three seasons in Texas. From 2015-21 in Los Angeles, he hit 104, topping out at 26 in 2016.

Seager hit the record-breaking home run during a 2-1 win over the Chicago White Sox on Thursday. The home run was good for Seager’s 30th of the season.
