Former Los Angeles Dodgers right-handed pitcher Yohan Ramirez didn’t last long in his new home.
Ramirez, who was claimed off waivers by the Boston Red Sox on Sunday, has been designated for assignment on Wednesday after just one appearance with Boston.
The 29-year-old threw 1.1 innings for the Red Sox on Tuesday, allowing two earned runs. Then, a day later, he was officially designated for assignment.
This is Ramirez’s fifth time being DFA’d this season. He began the 2024 season with the New York Mets before being DFA’d and traded to the Baltimore Orioles. Then, he was DFA’d by Baltimore and went back to New York.
