The Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays agreed to a deal Friday sending former Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Yimi García from Canada to the Pacific Northwest, the clubs confirmed on Friday.
ESPN’s Jeff Passan was the first to break the news.
Outfielder Jonatan Clase and minor league catcher Jacob Sharp are going to the Jays in the deal.
García was in his third season with the Blue Jays. He signed a two-year, $11 million deal with Toronto that has now grown by $6 million because he has pitched in enough games to vest a performance bonus.
