Former Los Angeles Dodgers prospect Jordan Leasure has been promoted back to the major leagues. Leasure was the Dodgers’ 14th-round pick in the 2021 Draft, then traded to the Chicago White Sox alongside Nick Nastrini and Trayce Thompson in exchange for Joe Kelly and Lance Lynn.
The 25-year-old relief pitcher began the year in the major leagues, making his debut March 30. The rookie began the year strong, not allowing an earned run in his first seven games. His performance was also strong in May, when he posted a 2.31 ERA and 12 strikeouts.
Leasure’s performance took a dip in June, particularly during an appearance against the Seattle Mariners in which he allowed four earned runs on June 10.
