Former Dodgers Outfielder Yasiel Puig Releases Statement Challenging Assault Allegations

It’s been a long time now since Yasiel Puig has been a part of the Dodgers organization. Truthfully, it’s been a while since he’s been part of any MLB organization. The Cuban outfielder has not played a game in the big leagues since September of 2019 with the Reds.

Puig was accused of assaulting a woman at a Lakers game back in 2018. He is currently undergoing a civil lawsuit in connection to that accusation. The alleged assault occurred while Puig was with the Dodgers, though the team has not commented on the case.

On Tuesday, the former Dodgers outfielder issued a lengthy statement about the allegations.
