Former MLB second baseman and long-time Dodgers great Steve Sax is one of the good people in baseball. The 5-time All-Star and 2-time World Series champion was also the 1982 NL Rookie of the Year for the Dodgers. Over his 14 year MLB career, Sax picked up plenty of hardware, awards, and accolades. And now, he’s set to auction off more than three dozen items from his Dodgers career for a cause incredibly close to his heart.
A year ago, Sax lost his son, US Marine Capt. John J. Sax in a tragic training flight in the California desert.
