Former Dodgers Executive Kim Ng Becomes First Female GM in MLB History

The Miami Marlins are making Major League Baseball history today. It was announced that Kim Ng would be hired on as their General Manager, making Ng the first female GM in the history of the sports. The former Dodgers executive has built up quite the resume in baseball over the last 30+ years and is finally being rewarded for that.

Ng was hired by the Dodgers in 2001 as the President and Assistant General Manager. She was interviewed by the yea, in 2005 for the vacant General Manager job, but that was given instead to Ned Colletti.
