ANAHEIM -- While relying on Kenley Jansen, Scott Alexander and Daniel Hudson in leverage situations, the other pieces of the Dodgers' bullpen are unsettled, as Saturday's roster moves (and contemplated moves) demonstrated.
The club activated right-hander Dylan Floro (acquired on Wednesday in a four-player trade with the Reds) and switch-pitcher Pat Venditte. To make room, they placed Friday night's starting pitcher, Kenta Maeda, on the paternity list, and placed right-hander Yimi Garcia on the disabled list with right forearm inflammation.
Maeda's strong outing on Friday night looked even more impressive after news that he had very little sleep on Thursday night because of the birth early Friday of he and his wife's second child, a son.
