NEW YORK – Clayton Kershaw entered his personal post-season dark alley again and walked out the other side unmugged.
For the first time in three post-season tries, the Dodgers turned to Clayton Kershaw in an elimination game and – weren’t eliminated. The Dodgers escaped from New York with a 3-1 victory in Game 4 Tuesday night, extending their National League Division Series to a decisive Game 5.
The win ended a five-start post-season losing streak for Kershaw, stretching back to the 2013 National League Championship Series.
Step One having finally worked for the Dodgers, this series will now be settled Thursday night at Dodger Stadium with Zack Greinke scheduled to start for the Dodgers and Jacob deGrom for the Mets.
