SAN DIEGO -- Spot starter Scott Baker held the San Diego Padres to just four hits in seven innings but two of them were home runs and the Padres handed the Dodgers a 3-1 defeat Sunday afternoon at Petco Park.
The Dodgers hit six home runs in the three-game series -- including another one by Alex Guerrero on Sunday -- but could not complete the sweep on Sunday.
Baker is the third different pitcher used by the Dodgers this month to replace inijured left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu. That trio -- David Huff, Mike Bolsinger and Baker -- allowed eight runs on 16 hits and five walks while striking out 13 in 16 2/3 innings.
