WASHINTON, D.C. -- Matt den Dekker's pinch-hit home run in the bottom of the eighth inning broke a tie and gave the Washington Nationals a 5-3 victory in the completion of their suspended game Saturday afternoon.
The game was suspended after five innings Friday night due to a malfunctioning bank of lights.
The Dodgers were trailing 3-2 at the time of the suspension. Two batters into the resumption of play, Adrian Gonzalez tied the score with a solo home run.
It was Gonzalez's second home run of the game -- though it followed the first by about 16 hours.
