Final: Clayton Kershaw throws five scoreless innings in Dodgers' 6-4 win

THE GAME: The Dodgers took a shutout into the eighth inning before finishing off a 6-4 victory over the Colorado Rockies Sunday afternoon at Salt River Fields.

PITCHING REPORT: Clayton Kershaw gave up two hits in the first inning and needed a diving catch by Joc Pederson to save him from trouble. Starting with that catch, though, Kershaw retired 13 of the final 15 batters he faced, allowing just two more baserunners – one on a walk and one on a throwing error by Kike’ Hernandez at shortstop. Kershaw went five innings.

KERSHAW QUOTE: “The way I look at it, once the season is over, nobody cares what you did except the Royals.
