LOS ANGELES – If this were a horror movie, we would have reached the point where the Dodgers have stumbled over an exposed tree root and fallen. Lying on the ground, they look back over their shoulder – and see the re-animated corpse of the San Francisco Giants shambling closer.
The Dodgers got back on their feet Wednesday night, making the most out of only four hits to snap their four-game losing streak with a 4-1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Dodgers' first win since Friday cut their magic number to clinch the division to six -- and re-opened a 1 1/2-game margin over the New York Mets for homefield advantage in a playoff matchup.
