ST. LOUIS – Bread crumbs are the standard choice. But the Dodgers have been leaving a trail of donuts when they leave home.

Right-hander John Lackey held them to five hits and nine strikeouts in the first seven innings Friday night as the Dodgers were shut out for the fourth time in their past 10 games, losing to the Cardinals 3-0 Friday night at Busch Stadium.
