HOUSTON — The Dodgers bullpen blew another dominant effort from Clayton Kershaw Sunday at Minute Maid Park, sending the team reeling to its first five-game losing streak in more than two years.
The Astros walked off on the Dodgers, 3-2, in 10 innings. Jason Castro lofted a fly ball to Houston’s short left-field porch off Chris Hatcher, and it went just far and high enough to leave the field of play.
Up one run in Sunday’s seventh inning at Minute Maid Park, Clayton Kershaw gave up a leadoff double to the free-swinging Evan Gattis. To the next batter, Marwin Gonzalez, he threw three straight balls, followed by a free fastball, and then two perfectly-placed sliders Gonzalez could not touch.
