There is a possibility that Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Evan Phillips could still take the mound in the Fall Classic. President of baseball operations Andrew Friedman explained why the Dodgers decided to leave Phillips off the initial World Series roster.
Phillips, 30, is dealing with arm tightness and fatigues that dates back to Game 6 of the National League Series. Throughout the postseason, the reliever hasn’t given up a single run.
Ahead of the World Series, Phillips said he wasn’t worried about his availability; however, the Dodgers chose to leave the reliever off the roster due to MLB rules.
