The fan-favorite “My Wish” series is coming back to ESPN SportsCenter beginning Sunday and will feature Freddie Freeman of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Freeman’s segment will debut Thursday in the 3 p.m. PT edition of ESPN SportsCenter and will re-air in other editions afterward.
The Dodgers first baseman grants a wish to Gunnar, an 11-year-old who has a respiratory disorder, and attacks his treatments just like he does the game of baseball. He wanted to meet his favorite baseball player and play catch with him at Dodger Stadium before a game.
Chris Connelly has hosted the ESPN “My Wish” series since its start and returns this season to tell these stories.
