LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers shortstop Erisbel Arruebarrena is back at the club's facility at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Ariz., resuming baseball activities now that his suspension is over, the team has confirmed.
Arruebarrena began his regular season still back in Arizona in extended spring training, but on May 21 was suspended by the team for the remainder of the 2015 season for "repeated failures to comply with his contract."
That suspension was appealed to the commissioner's office by Arruebarrena, and he and the Dodgers eventually reached a settlement of a 30-day suspension instead of the entire season, as first reported by Craig Calcaterra of NBC Sports.
