Now Dodger fans can drive into Chavez Ravine for a summer night of baseball and look up to see a street sign that reads: “Vin Scully Avenue”. Los Angeles Councilman Gil Cedillo proposed the motion this morning and it was agreed upon.
Elysian Park Avenue currently connects Dodger Stadium and Sunset Boulevard. With the name changing to Vin Scully Avenue, the address of Dodger Stadium will now become, “1000 Vin Scully Avenue”.
What a great way to honor such a legendary broadcaster that has shaped not only Dodger baseball for 66, going on 67 seasons, but all of baseball.
