CHICAGO >> Ian Thomas’s terrible, horrible, no good, very bad Monday was just the latest example of a Major League Baseball player having the same problems as the rest of us.
It started at an airport in Oklahoma City. Thomas had been recalled from the Dodgers’ Triple-A affiliate and was due in uniform that night in Chicago.
“I was supposed to fly out at noon,” he said. “That flight got cancelled. I switched to another (airline). That flight got delayed. I had my time set up where I was supposed to fly out at 4. They ended up flying out at 3:15.
