Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto has a strained rotator cuff according to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, per SportsNet LA’s Kirsten Watson. The injury is not season ending Roberts added, but will need to heal.
Yamamoto was placed on the 15-day injured list earlier on Sunday after exiting Saturday’s start early due to triceps tightness. Yamamoto left after pitching just two innings on Saturday after his start was delayed from Thursday to Saturday originally. It’s unclear if this update will cause Yamamoto to miss more time than the initial 15 days he has been placed on the injury report for.
