LOS ANGELES On an off day in Toronto last week, Yasiel Puig was one of a handful of Dodgers who went on a fishing trip.
At the plate, Puig has been trying to land the big one.
“I think that Yasiel is trying to get four hits in one at-bat,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. “That’s what happens to players when you start struggling. And I’ve still yet to see anybody get more than one hit in one at-bat.”
Puig didn’t have four hits in his 24 at-bats before Friday. The slump that basically started after the first 10 games of the season had Puig batting .
