Smith launched his second homerun of the season on Monday night against the Diamondbacks. But that homerun carried more weight than just being an insurance run. It tied him with former Dodgers catcher Mike Piazza as the fastest NL catcher to reach 50 homeruns.
But as it turns out, Smith didn’t even know what he had done.
