LOS ANGELES -- Nick Tepesch wasn't even part of the Dodgers' organization this spring when the team boasted of the uncommon starting pitching depth it had assembled. But Tepesch will become the eighth starting pitcher used by the Dodgers this season when he takes the mound in Pittsburgh Friday night.
Tepesch's contract will be purchased from Triple-A Oklahoma City Friday. Additional roster moves will need to be made to clear spots for him on the 40- and 25-man rosters.
Tepesch, 27, began this season in the Texas Rangers' organization after missing the entire 2015 season while recovering from surgery to treat thoracic outlet syndrome.
