Imagine a Dodgers lineup that features Juan Soto, Mookie Betts, and Cody Bellinger patrolling the outfield. Wherever you want to put those guys, it would easily be the best outfield in all of baseball. it would also make Los Angeles one of the most lethal offenses of all time.
ESPN’s Buster Olney reported this week that the Nationals might be motivated to trade Soto this Summer. They tried to sign him to a long-term extension and failed, likely due to the rebuilding nature of their franchise. Soto wouldn’t have that issue with the Dodgers.
Soto’s free agency begins after the 2024 season, so the Nats could wait another year to move him.
