Dodgers Way Quick Hits: Stripling, Turner, May, First Place

The Dodgers defeated the Padres Thursday night 3-2 to put themselves in first place for the first time this season. Ross Stripling pitched six shutout innings and Kenley Jansen gutted out a save to seal the Dodgers victory. Matt Kemp had a pinch-hit RBI single and Joc Pederson followed with an RBI single to put the Dodgers up 3-0.

After Daniel Hudson gave up two runs, Dylan Floro and Kenley Jansen combined to blank the Padres in the eighth and ninth inning to preserve the Dodgers series victory. Next up the Dodgers will head home for three more games with the Anaheim Angels to wrap up the first half of the 2018 season.
