Prior to yesterday evening’s game, Clayton Kershaw threw a scheduled bullpen session to prepare for his next rehab start in the minor leagues. In his first rehab start on Thursday, Clayton pitched 4 1/3 innings allowing two runs, two hits, and struck out six batters against the San Antonio Missions.
As far as velocity went, Kershaw hit 90 miles per hour several times but was routinely around the 88-89 mile per hour range. This was Clayton’s first game action in a while and the minor leagues are nothing to get amped up about for him so when he returns to the big leagues his adrenaline should add a tick or two to his velocity.
