Dennis Santana is working his way back to full health as he will throw off a mound today for the first time today since he started for the Dodgers on June 1st in Colorado. Santana was scratched while warming up in the bullpen prior to his start against the Pittsburgh Pirates on June 7th and has been out ever since.
Santana was initially believed to just have lat soreness but he was later diagnosed with a rotator cuff strain. The twenty-two year-old righty made his debut at a time when the Dodgers rotation was running out of starting pitchers.
