The Dodgers had the exact game that they needed following a loss to the Pirates. After almost being shut out by the pirates pitching on Monday night, Los Angeles came out and put up a lopsided number on Tuesday.
Tony Gonsolin was strong, but the bats were stronger. The Dodgers put up 11 runs on 15 hits in a dominant win. That included four different guys with multi hit games.
But there was also a level of defense that helped Gonsolin along the way. One play in the first inning came from the arm of Mookie Betts who threw out a runner at home.
