Dodgers: Watch Freddie Freeman’s First At-Bat at Dodger Stadium

The Dodgers home opener is always a spectacle. Yesterday was a cut above. Not only did longtime Spanish language radio announcer Jaime Jarrín throw out the first pitch to commemorate the beginning of his final season, but first baseman Freddie Freeman made his Dodger Stadium debut as well.

It didn’t take long for Freeman to remind fans why the Dodgers front office was willing to sign him to a six-year deal. The 2020 NL MVP logged a signature opposite field single against Reds pitcher Luis Cessa in his first at-bat at Chavez Ravine.

That was just the first chapter in Freeman’s incredible Dodgers debut.
