The Dodgers were already prepared to be without Walker Buehler for quite some time. But the assumption was that surgery was not on the table for him in his recovery from a flexor strain. That was the initial assessment over the weekend following his early departure.
But it sounds like Buehler did need to undergo arthroscopic surgery to remove some bone spurs this week. Bill Plunkett reported from the stadium this afternoon that Buehler confirmed the surgery on Monday.
But there is good news with it.
Buehler not needing any additional time with the surgery is very encouraging.
