The Dodgers have officially promoted top pitching prospect Walker Buehler to Triple-A Oklahoma City. It was a move that has been anticipated over the past few days, but the front office finally made it official.
Buehler was promoted from Single-A to Double-A earlier in the season, so this promotion continues a meteoric rise through the system for the 2015 first-rounder, who missed almost all of the last two years to his 2015 Tommy John Surgery. He was limited to just five innings last fall as he worked himself back from his layoff.
Buehler was a top-5 talent in his draft, according to many, and arguably the best player on a championship team that featured the first and eighth overall picks in the same draft.
