The Los Angeles Dodgers are on a four-game winning streak and enter play Thursday with an opportunity to complete a series sweep of the Philadelphia Phillies. Despite their recent momentum, L.A. remains four games back of the San Francisco Giants in the National League West.
Mitch White is back up with the Dodgers and Kevin Quackenbush was designated for assignment as the corresponding roster move. Quackenbush joined the team last week and appeared in one game, which was his first at the Major League level since 2018.
White, who had previously been earmarked by Dodgers manager Dave Roberts to pitch the majority of Thursday’s game, makes a second career start.
