When the Dodgers went out and picked up Tyler Anderson, the assumption was that it was a depth move. With so many questions surrounding the starting rotation, they did not want to get stuck in the position that they were in last year. So many arms went down in 2021 with injuries that it made the regular season very difficult.
But Anderson could prove to be a huge weapon for Dave Roberts out of the bullpen. He came in behind Tony Gonsolin and tossed 4 solid innings. The only thing that went wrong for him was a botched double-play ball which ended up in the Dodgers giving up a run.
