Yup! Trevor Bauer and Matthew McConaughey. That’s exactly what you expected to be reading about today. Dodgers’ right-hander Trevor Bauer introduced his charitable effort “Ks for a Cause” heading into his first season in LA. Through the season-long giveback initiative, Bauer is donating $1,000 for each strikeout he records this season toward local nonprofit organizations focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and youth programming in the greater LA area.
So far, the 30-year-old has racked up a $77,000 bill toward Ks for a Cause by striking out 77 batters, which is incidentally fourth-most in baseball and tops in the National League.
