Travis, we hardly knew ye.
After just shy of a week in the Dodgers‘ organization, Travis d’Arnaud today was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays for cash considerations.
The 30-year-old catcher had one at-bat with the Dodgers. It came Thursday night as a pinch hitter against the Washington Nationals, in which he grounded out. d’Arnaud, a Lakewood High School alumnus, had previously been with the New York Mets but was released from his contract last week. The Rays have seen two of their catchers hit the disabled list, leading them to look for a full-in catcher.
