The Los Angeles Dodgers appear to have intensified their search for a starting pitcher prior to the July 31 trade deadline, with Yu Darvish and Sonny Gray emerging as the focal points. Of the two, it’s believed the Dodgers have Darvish atop their wish list.
While the Rangers began gauging interest for their ace, they continued to wrestle with the decision on whether or not to become sellers or buyers at the deadline. Days of mulling that over appear to have led to Texas moving ahead with a potential trade of their ace.
Although the 30-year-old is eligible for free agency this season, the Rangers are seeking a significant haul in return.
