Hours after it appeared the Washington Nationals were on the verge of trading Max Scherzer to the San Diego Padres, the Los Angeles Dodgers not only re-entered the picture but expanded talks to include Trea Turner as well.
As reports of Scherzer waiving his no-trade clause surfaced, it was said the Dodgers would send Keibert Ruiz, Josiah Gray, Donovan Casey and Gerardo Carrillo to the Nationals in exchange for Scherzer and Turner.
The trade has not yet been finalized as the final details still need to be ironed out, but the expectation remains the Dodgers will complete the blockbuster prior to the 1 p.
