The Dodgers have officially acquired left-hander Vidal Nuno from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for catcher Carlos Ruiz.
The trade was confirmed by both teams Monday afternoon.
In addition, the Dodgers also confirmed that they have extended qualifying offers to two of their free agents — closer Kenley Jansen and third baseman Justin Turner. The two have one week to either accept or decline the qualifying offer, which is a one-year contract for $17.2 million.
Given their high value on the free agent market, Jansen and Turner are expected to decline the qualifying offer. The Dodgers would receive a draft pick as compensation if either signs with another team this winter.
