For rebuilding Oakland, Hatcher is a low-cost commodity who remains under club control through 2019.
Also on Tuesday, the Dodgers announced they've reinstated infielder-outfielder Rob Segedin from the 60-day disabled list, giving the club's bench more depth as he returns from a wrist injury that required surgery in May -- this after he was sidelined with turf toe in April.
In 10 rehab games with Triple-A Oklahoma City and the Rookie-level affiliate, Segedin went 11-for-33 with three doubles, six RBIs and three runs scored.
