The only thing that was more glorious than Dodger Stadium bathing in California sunshine was Tony Gonsolin’s pitching. Gonsolin did not allow a single hit until the sixth inning of the Dodgers 5-1 victory over the Atlanta Braves.
After the game, the hurler was nonchalant about being 12 outs away from throwing a no-no. The Orange County Register’s Bill Plunkett captured the hurler’s thoughts on losing the no hitter in the sixth inning.
